Sunday School Open House

Hello!
I hope you all stayed safe, warm, and dry this past weekend. My name is Katherine,
and I am the Director of Youth Faith Formation at First Parish. I have had the pleasure of meeting many of you during my first few weeks here, and I am looking forward to getting
to know more of you as the year continues.
As we move into Fall and begin to leave Summer behind, we also enter a season where community becomes especially important. The days get shorter, the weather gets colder,
and it can become easier to spend more time at home and less time connecting with the people around us. Making an effort to reach out, spend time with others, and find spaces where we feel connected can make a big difference during this time of year.
First Parish can be one of those spaces. This Sunday, October 4th, we will be having a Bring a Friend to Worship Day, and I hope you will consider inviting someone to join you.
October 4th is also World Communion Sunday, so we will have the opportunity to gather together and recognize the ways that communities of faith are connected beyond our own congregation. After the service, we will also be hosting a Sunday School Open House
for anyone who is interested in learning more about the program.
As the Sunday School continues to develop, I am spending a lot of time thinking about
what we can do each week and what kind of space we want to create for the children
who participate. During the Open House, I will provide a practical demonstration of what a Sunday School session might look like, and there will be time to ask questions, share ideas, and provide feedback.
I hope you will stop by after the service, whether you are already involved with Sunday School or are simply curious about what we are working toward. And, of course, feel free to bring a friend.
Yours,
Katherine Bynarowicz
Director of Youth Faith Formation
