MEETING HOUSE ADDITION
We put an addition onto the church! Read all about it in our brochure and check out the slideshow of building progress below.
SING, SING A SONG!
Did you know that singing in a group is good for your health ? It improves your mood, lowers stress, and can contribute to overall well-being. Did you also know that our choir is in great need of new members? You are warmly invited to join us for one or more practices to see if you like it! Although some musical experience is helpful, none is required -- we are a friendly group, happy to answer any questions. And you don't need to be a great singer, either. Group singing is supportive and forgiving. All talents and abilities are welcome!
Consider joining for either the short-term or long-term. You can limit your participation, such as to only those practices leading up to a special musical offering like Easter or Christmas. Or you could decide to join us for as often as you are able throughout the year! This is a volunteer choir with a great deal of flexibility.
Practices are held in the church classrooms on most Wednesdays from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Sundays in the sanctuary from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Please contact our choir director, Sarah Tocco, at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested and would like a schedule of upcoming rehearsals. Choir members will be happy to answer any questions as well. Hope to sing with you soon!
First Parish hosts a variety of events both in our church and in the community. Join us! We are located at 252 Nahatan Street in Westwood.
This Sunday, please go to the congregation’s Facebook page (click on: https://www.facebook.com/First-Parish-of-Westwood-120302557982716/) on or before 10:00 am and click on the post for this Sunday, October 25th.

CHRISTMAS WREATHS & MORE
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5TH
Mark your calendar and bring a mask to Christmas Wreaths & More, to be held outdoors on the First Parish grounds on Saturday December 5, 2020 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. In careful adherence to new safety standards, masks and social distancing are required at this outdoor event.
As is the tradition, we'll have wreaths and handmade knits available for purchase. A silent auction with a limited number of special items is being planned. We'll forgo the usual food and jewelry offerings, but this year we are incorporating a fun, new community spirit building activity. Members of the community, young, old, and all ages in between, are invited to display their own uniquely decorated gingerbread houses at the event. A lucky participant (or more) will earn a prize and bragging rights for best gingerbread house creation.
SEND A SELFIE!
During the year, Meg will be working on compiling a "homemade" pictorial directory as a gift for our new settled Pastor.
Pastors Rick and Jill Edens invite you to email Meg a "selfie" of you/your family. Please send all pictures to: email@example.com.
Feel free to get creative!
WELCOME VIDEOS REQUESTED
We are currently seeking volunteers to do a "Welcome to service at First Parish" video. This week, Amie Colcord is going to do one in Spanish! We encourage you to get creative and have fun.
If you have questions, contact Amie Colcord at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please submit completed videos to Doug Hyde at email@example.com.
