Mission & Service

As part of the larger Church, we accept our responsibility to minister with fellow believers in Christ-like service to the world. Our members give time and money to a full range of religious, civic and social programs. We share in the local work of the Westwood Interfaith Council and, through the United Church of Christ, we participate in the humanitarian and spiritual concerns of the larger Church.

Whether it's making sandwiches for Rosie's Place every month, helping to prepare and serve meals at the Pine Street Inn, selling pumpkins to raise money for outreach efforts, leading our youth on annual work camps every summer, enabling adults and youth to help the needy on the Gulf Coast and in Honduras, or donating money and gifts for local "adopted" families each year at Christmas, First Parishioners make it a priority to extend a helping hand into the community and the world.

You are welcome to join us in our efforts! Please worship with us at 10 AM every Sunday, introduce yourself, and become acquainted with us and our mission!
